Anlage:
The fauna and flora were as expected. The airconditioning was adequate but switched itself off when you took the key and left the room so that you could not return to a nice cool room. None of the restaurants were airconditioned.

Lage:
Location was only let down by the fact that they didn't bother to send a boat out to meet our seaplane - we had to hitch a ride on a boat to a nearby resort and get them to radio Sun Island to send a boat for us! Far from being a one-off, when we were taken back to get the seaplane home, we overheard the plane's pilot telling the boat crew that they should be apologising for keeping the next lot of guests waiting so long to be picked up!

Strand:
The beach by the beach bar had a lot of grass on but the rest of the island's beaches were fine. Shame they weren't the pure whit of the neighbouring islands.

Unterhaltung
Sport:
Facilities were excellent but, unless you are on the more expensive version of fully inclusive, they are all extra.

Verpflegung:
Main restaurant (which is inclusive) was VERY poor. Breakfast was 3* standard and dinner was 2* standard. We had dinner on the first night and never went back to the main restaurant other than for breakfast (poor choice and very poor quality). Breakfast was not much of an improvement - maybe being British we were expecting a lot more from a (supposedly) 5* breakfast, but there was a lack of choice for both hot and cold items. We tried the Italian restaurant but, again, only once - the capaccio was still frozen, not marinated & without sauce or fresh parmesan, the bread was stale (as was the replacement bread when we complained) and the main course was a very poor quality. The Thai restaurant was amazing - both food and service (the two Indian waiters who served us all week were excellent). The coffee shop food and service were also very good.

Preis /
Leistung:
Everything was at 5* prices - this would have been okay if we hadn't had 3* service in the majority of areas. If they can find a way to get more money out of you, they will - for example, I wanted to go scuba diving on one of there diving trips, I was told that I would have to have a dive outside the dive shop with an instructor for an assesment, little did I know that I would be charged for a full dive and equipment hire (ignore the "first dive free" signs because apparently that is only when you book a series of training sessions and dives to gain a qualification)! You'd get better value for money from a four star resort!
